Marksman made his big debut by taking to the open skies on Monday. A private flight with captain, aka "da boss" Tim Miller was quite the thrill as he headed East for his first stop in Baker City, Oregon! Flying over Portland, past Mt. Hood, and trailing the Columbia Gorge he finally made touch down in Baker.

What's in Baker City...well not a whole lot. There's your basic small town essentials like the Dollar store and a Dairy Queen, not to mention old western history. The main attraction for this small town is theGeiser Grand Hotel.

Opening in 1889 the Geiser Grand Hotel featured high ceilings, extravagant chandeliers, and a breathtaking stained glass ceiling in the dining hall.

Now Marksman being a gunslinger himself, heard of western tall tails of Geiser Grand and was there to curb his curiosity. Below is the story told by the bar tender in the hotel saloon.

"On the outside of the hotel is the clock tower. Back when the hotel originally opened sat a similar clock that is now on display, but were originally wind-up clocks. Locals used the clocks for more than just telling time, she said. They'd get liquored up and use the clocks for target practice.

Back in the gold rush days Baker City was one town were men made their fortune.

The clocks were eventually replace with lion head's one of which graces the hotel's saloon wall. Do you think that stopped the gunslingers? Not a chance. If you look, you can see a bullet hole on the lions head, a subtle reminder of the wild west days.
